Itinerary

Board your international flight in the US and relax on your overnight journey to Zurich, located on the banks of the River Limmat and the north end of Lake Zurich in northern Switzerland.

On arrival in Zurich, enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel. After settling in, get time free to explore this beautiful city with the visit to Bahnhofstrasse. This is one of the most famous shopping streets in the world. This evening, sit down to a delicious welcome dinner at the hotel.

Set off on a guided bus tour around this attractive city’s most charming sights and districts. Discover the history-steeped Old Town, view the architecture of the Town Hall (Stadthaus), the Grossmünster church, the Fraumünster church and learn about the city’s rich history and cultural significance. From the hill top of Lindenhof park, it is the best place to view the Limmat River. Next, travel to picturesque Lucerne by bus, where after lunch on your own a guided sightseeing tour will showcase its historical and cultural highlights. Walk across the postcard-worthy covered wooden Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), the city’s best-known landmark. Other highpoints include a visit to the poignant Lion Monument and a stroll through the Old Town, whose pretty buildings huddle along cobbled lanes. This afternoon you may take the optional tour up to the top of Mt. Titlis by Titlis Rotair for a fantastic bird’s eye view of the surrounding snow covered peaks. Dinner is at a local restaurant this evening.

After breakfast, board the motor-coach for Interlaken. Sit back without a worry in the world and dream in the azure lakes and white peaks as your train glides to its destination. Following your 2-hour journey, enjoy free time to explore Interlaken. Wedged between Lake Brienz, Lake Thun, and the peaks of the Bernese Oberland, this vibrant, half-timbered town enjoys an idyllic setting and overflows with outdoor activities. In the afternoon, you may wish to join an optional tour to Jungfraujoch, known as the ‘Top of Europe’, where we ride the cogwheel train past the north face of the Eiger to the summit of Jungfrau for amazing vistas over the Aletsch Glacier, Black Forest and Vosges Mountains. Tonight, savor the local cuisine over dinner at one of Interlaken’s welcoming restaurants.

  1. Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the return date of your trip. Make sure your passport is not too full. Most countries require between two and four blank pages in your passport.
  2. No visa required for US passport holders to tour Europe.
    It is the responsibility of non-US citizen travelers to obtain proper visas of all countries in a timely manner.
    Permanent Resident Aliens need both passport and Alien Resident Card for re-entry to the States.
  3. For your own protection and peace of mind, travelers are strongly advised to purchase travel insurance prior to departure.
  4. Bring a warm jacket, scarf, gloves, and hat for mountains and glaciers in Switzerland, even in summer.
  5. Europe's electrical system is different from the U.S. in two ways: the voltage of the current and the shape of the plug. European appliances run on 220 volts. (Three rectangular prongs plug in England, Scotland, and Ireland) (Two round prongs plug in most Continental Europe)
