Itinerary

Today you'll arrive in Fairbanks, known for its prime location and favorable climate, earning it the nickname "Aurora Capital." Upon arrival, you will check into your hotel for rest (check-in available after 3:00 PM at Alaska hotels).
At 22:00, to escape the urban light pollution, take the Aurora Shuttle to Aurora-Viewing Lodge, in an excellent location that will increase your chances of observing the Northern Lights. Free hot drinks, coffee, and a Northern Lights monitoring screen are available in the cabin, where you can warm up after watching the aurora (1st Aurora Viewing). You will return to the hotel to rest at around 2 am the next morning.

Today you'll enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel. 1 pm depart for the famous " Santa Claus House" in the town of North Pole. Later to the Museum of the North The museum displays some rare arctic animal specimens (“Blue Babe", mammoth bones, a nearly 3-meter-tall brown bear, etc.). Afterward, return to the hotel for a rest. At 22:00, take the Aurora Shuttle to Aurora-Viewing Lodge to watch the aurora (2nd Aurora Viewing).

Options: 1) Dog Sledding Adventure (2hrs total)
Visit Leslie's sled dog kennel. Two passengers in the sled husband's company to ride the same sled, sledding in the forest road, splashing white snowflakes, the process is quite thrilling ( about 20-25 mins)! While waiting for a ride, you'll also have the opportunity to get up close and personal with cute dogs.

Options: 2) Ice Fishing Tour (4 hours, 11/20/2023-3/5/2024)
Ice fishing is a winter favorite for Alaskans. You'll learn fishing skill with a fishing expert. After catching the fish, the guide will also process a grilled fish for each guest on site, allowing you to taste the freshest fish, and then release the extra fish back to the snow lake.

Options: 3) Snow Mobile Tour ( 2-4 hours total, 11/20/2023-3/31/2024)
Join the snowmobile in Alaska, one of the hottest snow and ice events in the region, you can choose 30min for ride, accompanied by an experienced guide.

Today you will enjoy a leisurely day in Fairbanks. You can make your own arrangements or chose an optional activity to participate in for an additional fee. At 10 pm, take the Aurora Shuttle to the area outside Fairbanks, away from the interference of urban light pollution, which will greatly increasing your chances of seeing the aurora. (3rd Aurora Viewing). You will return to the hotel to rest at around 2 am the next morning.

Options: 1. Chena Hot Springs Resort Tour (7 hours round trip)
11 am travel to Chena Hot Springs Resort, famous for its century-old hot spring, interesting ice sculpture museum, and an advanced renewable energy project, making it one of the must-see attractions for almost every visitor to Fairbanks!

2. Castner Glacier Ice Cave Discovery Tour (8 hours round trip)
Depart in the morning and drive to Castner Glacier Ice Cave, which is beautiful After getting off the bus, you will follow your guide on a hike of about 2 miles before reaching the largest valley ice cave in North America.

3. Denali National Park Walking Tour (about 7-8 hours round trip)
10 am travel by car to Denali. with views of the magnificent Alaska Range mountains to the South, and colorful forest flanking the road. Denali National Park is one of the longest-protected ecological preserves in the world. Weather permitting, your guide will take you on a short hike in the park.
Notes: 1) You must wear a bathing suit in the hot springs, please prepare in advance.
2) For safety reasons, minors under age 18 may not enter the outdoor natural rock pool, but they may use the indoor pool and the outdoor hot tub.
3) If you choose not to enter the hot springs for your own reasons, the fee is not refundable.
4)There is no weather station in the vicinity of Castner Glacier Ice Cave. Therefore, it is difficult to predict local weather or trail condition when departing Fairbanks, the origin of the tour. Once reaching the trailhead, our guides will determine whether local conditions are safe enough for hiking to the Ice Cave or not. Today you will enjoy a leisurely day in Fairbanks. You can make your own arrangements or chose an optional activity to participate in for an additional fee. Due to limited time, it is only possible to choose one out of the three optional activities below.

Options:
1. Overland Adventure Across the Arctic Circle (drive both ways, round trip about 16 hours).
Depart in the morning and travel by Arctic bus along the Dalton Highway, a 414-mile remote road known as one of the world's "Ten Roads of Death." You'll see tundra landscapes and wildlife like caribou and bears. Cross the Yukon River and view the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. At the Arctic Circle (66°33' north), receive an "Arctic Circle Exploration Certificate." Return to Fairbanks by 2-3 am. If flying out the next day, book flights no earlier than 7 am to avoid missing them.

2. Fly Over the Arctic Circle Adventure (Fly northbound, about 1.5 hours, drive back, about 10 hours)
Taking a morning sightseeing plane to Coldfoot, enjoying bird's-eye views of the snow-covered tundra. At Coldfoot, visit the Arctic Post Office and enjoy the Brooks Range Safari. In the afternoon, return to Fairbanks via the Dalton Highway on an Arctic bus. En route, visit the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, Yukon River, and Arctic Circle marker (66°33' north), where you'll receive an "Arctic Circle Exploration Certificate."

3.Aurora Viewing Cabin /Aurora chasing (approximately 4 hours round trip).

In the morning, board the Alaska Aurora Train (08:30-20:00) and head south to Anchorage, the largest city in Alaska. Anchorage is the economic hub of the "Last Frontier" and its main transportation center. The Alaska Aurora Train, renowned locally, operates only on weekends and travels at a leisurely pace, allowing you to enjoy the stunning scenery of the Alaska Range and Denali Mountain along the way.

Upon arrival in Anchorage in the evening, you'll have the opportunity to rest and recuperate from the past few nights of northern lights viewing.

* When departing from Fairbanks, you can arrange a complimentary shuttle from your hotel to the Fairbanks train station with the hotel front desk in advance. Upon arrival in Anchorage, our company will provide you with free pickup service from the train station.

In the morning, the hotel gathers and departs by van to Matanuska Glacier for a glacier walking experience (about 2 hours) led by a professional guide. The Matanuska Glacier, Alaska's largest accessible glacier, is classified as a valley glacier, which, by its own gravity, is like a river covering the valley, winding north from the Chugachi Mountains to the Glen Highway, the most popular roadside attraction between Anchorage and Glenalon. About 10,000 years ago, the Matanuska Glacier began to retreat to its present position, and has not changed significantly in nearly two decades. Due to the geomorphological characteristics of the valley glaciers, the Matanuska Glacier is ideal for many glacier hikers due to its geomorphological characteristics, which make it more prone to sunny weather in winter than in the surrounding area. And this area is one of the most spectacular and breathtaking in Alaska because of the addition of glaciers and sheep mountains.
Notes: • It is recommended to wear a warm down jacket, velvet jacket, hat, scarf, anti-ski boots, sunglasses, etc., pay attention to the safety of your feet.
• Be sure to comply with the guide requirements during the walk and sign the disclaimer required by the Park Service.

Today marks the end of your journey, as you bid farewell to the beautiful state of Alaska. If your departure flight is scheduled for the evening or later, you can opt for a sightseeing tour in Anchorage to fully experience the charm of Alaska’s largest city.

Optional Excursion: Anchorage Turnagain Arm Wonderland Tour

Around 10 AM, depart from the hotel and head to Turnagain Arm. This area is known for its stunning azure glaciers and the rolling Chugach Mountains, creating a breathtaking landscape that feels almost otherworldly. Make sure to stop at Beluga Point for some memorable photos.

Next, visit the Alyeska Ski Resort where you can take a scenic tram (ticket not included) to the mountain's summit for a magnificent view of the snow-capped peaks.

In the afternoon, return to Anchorage and visit Earthquake Park and Captain Cook Monument for about 30 minutes, offering an excellent vantage point for views and photos of Cook Inlet.

Conclude the tour with some shopping at the department stores on Fourth and Fifth Avenues in downtown Anchorage, and at stores featuring Alaskan Native art (around 1 hour). Enjoy the tax-free shopping experience with a wide range of unique souvenirs.

Return to the hotel around 4 PM.

Tour Policy:

Cancellation Policy
  1. For cancellations 18 days and more from departure date, 90% of the fee will be refunded.
  2. For cancellations between 12 to 17 days from departure date, 70% of the fee will be refunded.
  3. For cancellations between 8 to 11 days from departure date, 50% of the fee will be refunded.
  4. For cancellations within 7 days of departure, no refund will be given.
